Micah David is an independent artist with a passion for storytelling.
As a scholar-alumna of George T. Yang’s Klassikal Music Foundation, has opened doors for her to gain multiple accolades under her belt.
In 2015, she was the Grand Prize winner of the Jovita Fuentes Vocal Competition (Female Category) and also won the Gamaliel Viray Audience Choice Award for the same event. She has also been a part of various productions — the latest one was playing the role of Andeng in Felipe de Leon’s Noli Me Tangere, staged at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2019.
As she explores another facet of her music but still leveraging on her roots, she hopes to share stories that would speak truth to the hearts of the listeners.
An honest take on the ups and downs of the journey to one’s dreams – that is Ako Naman. It tells the story of how not all your battles are your own, and how one can find strength in rest, and humility by accepting the help of others. After all, however cliche it may sound, in the end it is still love that saves the day.
