An instrumentalist and a music teacher. She was trained in the rudiments of both classical and popular music under the Bachelor of Music in Music Education program of Philippine Women’s University. She majored in classical guitar under the tutelage of pioneer Maestro Jose Valdez and minored in voice with Mrs. Elietess Haidee Cariño.
She also had an elective training for percussion with Gomer Giron of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, and an introduction to conducting subjects with Christopher Borela of the Philippine Madrigal Singers.
She was a member of an all-female string quartet, PWU Chorale, and PWU Guitar Ensemble in college. For the last 15 years, she has worked in different music schools and institutions in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon. She also taught music classes in a private school in Laguna.
She has developed techniques and step-by-step programs for students learning at different levels. She teaches beginner to advanced classical and acoustic guitar, beginner to intermediate ukulele, voice, piano, and percussion, and beginner violin playing.
